The National Parks have bold plans for nature’s future.

The 15 National Parks cover c.10% of Great Britain’s land and are leading the way in landscape-scale nature recovery. Across the UK we are collaborating with local communities, farmers and landowners to develop projects that deliver genuine lasting benefits for people, nature and climate.

For the first time nature loss has been recognised by the UK government* as a threat to national security. Partnerships with the private sector have a critical role in accelerating our progress towards nature recovery goals and safeguarding the ecosystems that underpin our collective security and prosperity.

Our nature-based solutions team work closely with National Park teams to develop a portfolio of projects where private finance supports the scaling of nature recovery and meets the needs of local communities.

The team brings expertise in ecology, land management and conservation, alongside an in-depth knowledge of nature markets and green finance.

National Parks have pledged to halve carbon emissions within their landscapes by 2030 and become significant net carbon sinks by 2050.
