Youth Manifesto and Forum

Recruitment of a Young Person’s Officer to implement the Youth Manifesto across Eryri in order to engage underrepresented communities in the work of the National Park.

Over a 3-year period this will include:

  • Co-create a Youth Forum to ensure the voice of young people is more firmly represented in decision making;
  • Lead and expand the Young Rangers Scheme;
  • Establish a trainee-apprentice scheme through sourcing an academic partner;
  • Create a programme for National Park Officers to provide outreach opportunities to all schools within catchment areas;
  • Develop links with youth services, third sector youth organisations, accreditation schemes and other relevant groups/individuals;
  • Connect to the Local Health Board to ensure that appropriate groups and communities are targeted;
  • Expand and develop the offer of the Forest School.
