We Do Dartmoor

Engage young people with nature.

This new programme will help reach young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to connect with Dartmoor National Park by building on the work of an award-winning pilot project called ‘Girls Do Dartmoor’ aimed at reaching out to girls who do not see themselves in nature and National Parks.

These programmes provide opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to experience nature in the National Park and develop themselves and their connection to the special qualities of Dartmoor.

Funding supports work within the wider Engagement team to deliver Dartmoor Youth Rangers, Nights Under the Stars and other youth events helping to reach young people from disadvantaged backgrounds that we currently do not connect with.
