Broads Discovery and Young Rangers

Invest in the Next Generation of Nature Champions

We’re seeking a forward-thinking corporate partner to support a dynamic youth engagement programme in the Broads National Park—a place of outstanding natural beauty and biodiversity.

Your support will directly enable young people from underrepresented and disadvantaged communities to discover, connect with, and care for the natural world, while gaining skills and confidence that last a lifetime.

This ambitious programme includes:

  • The recruitment of a part-time Youth Engagement Officer to oversee and grow these initiatives
  • Six annual “Broads Discovery” residentials for schools and youth groups from Norwich, King’s Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Beccles, and Lowestoft, offering immersive 5-day experiences in the National Park
  • A long-term engagement and work experience programme with SEND students from Pathways College working toward AQA-accredited outcomes
  • Establishment and delivery of monthly Broads Young Ranger project as a Green Connections progression route for 12 young people engaged with 6-week projects
  • A Youth Leaders Training Course, equipping local youth workers and educators to deliver activities aligned with the National Parks environmental and educational goals
