Growing Gravelfoyle

Help Us Expand Cycling Access and Events.

We are seeking an enthusiastic corporate partner to help us grow the Gravel trails around Aberfoyle—a hidden gem in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park—and create accessible, community-driven cycling experiences.

The Gravelfoyle Project aims to develop over 200 km of waymarked gravel trails through some of Scotland’s most scenic landscapes, providing an inclusive and accessible cycling route for all abilities.

Key initiatives within this project include:

  • Outreach Programmes such as:
    • Parkride: Aimed at getting families, groups, and communities out on bikes to explore the park.
    • Bairns on Bikes: A youth-focused initiative that introduces children and young people to the joy of cycling and the natural beauty of the park.
    • Gravelfoyle Grrls: Empowering women and girls through cycling, encouraging greater participation in outdoor adventure and wellbeing.
  • Cycling Events:
    • The Grand Old Dukes (Spring): A flagship cycling event for riders of all levels to celebrate the start of the cycling season.
    • The Gravelfoyle 10 (Autumn): A thrilling 10km race around the Gravelfoyle trails to challenge cyclists and celebrate the autumnal beauty of the park.
  • Adaptive Cycling:
    • The Dukes Weekender will include an adaptive/recumbent cycling category, ensuring that cycling is accessible to those with mobility needs, enabling everyone to enjoy the park’s stunning landscapes.
